What is the Ms. Lady V and Mr. V Pageant and Competition?

The Ms. Lady V. and Mr. V Pageant and Competition is an evening of fashion, lip-syncing and performances to identify two Ambassadors for HIV Vaccine Research.  In addition to representing what is most fabulous about Philadelphia, the two title winners will be responsible for promoting HIV vaccine research when appearing at local venues and performances, and create opportunities for community members to learn about research participation.  The two title holders are compensated for these appearances as a part of the winner’s prize package.

The University of Pennsylvania’s HIV Prevention Research Division conducts clinical trials of behavioral and biomedical research. It is currently recruiting sexually-active transgender women and gay and bisexual men, who are HIV negative and between the ages of 18 and 50 for HVTN505 (a phase II HIV vaccine trial).

When: Sunday April 1st at 7pm – 10pm

Where: Voyeur Nightclub – 1221 St. James St., Philadelphia

Admission: $5 | 21+ to Enter | Doors Open at 6PM
